Weather Radar for Android Auto

I have always wanted to be able to have a weather radar layer for google maps (I don't completely understand why this doesn't exist). So I was very excited when this article came across my news feed the other day:

For Android Auto users... you can download the "Weather & Radar" app from the play store. It is not a bad weather app on its own, but the exciting part is that the radar map is supported by AA! It does not allow the map to be animated, but it is zoomable, so you can get a snapshot of the precipitation coming your way when traveling. Only AA for now but the article suggests Carplay support is also in the works.

I didn't see this posted anywhere and as far as I know this is the first radar app supported by AA, so I thought it was worth starting a thread. . . now just need a good snow storm to track!
