I understand only apps that are designed for Apple CarPlay will transfer from your iPhone to the CarPlay screen. These can be managed under Settings, General, CarPlay, Select your auto, Customize.

Does anyone know of any Weather App that is compatible? I can't seem to locate one that will be on my CarPlay screen. I have a 2022 with Apple CarPlay. I had a 2018 that had the weather as an option for the home screen (non-Apple CarPlay), along with Time, Audio, Navigation, and something else I cannot remember.

Weatherology is the only Carplay weather app that I'm aware of.

question about this...the description on the app store says that carplay rules don't allow them to show anything on the dashboard, and that everything through carplay is voice only. Is this true or can you actually see radar and such on the headunit display? I also miss having weather radar on the screen like my 2016 4Runner had.

Yeah. Voice only. I prefer a good voice app. I have trouble reading an artist's name off HU safely.:annoyed:

The head unit has a built in weather app that's fairly decent and can give forecasts and a still image radar view.

In my 4Runner I only used the weather when not moving, but it was especially nice when I was debating on when I needed to leave my families hunting property before it became a mud hole

i believe for 2020+ that is only on the premium audio jbl system that has the built in nav and weather. the standard audio for the 2020+ does not include this.

Thanks. Unfortunately, that APP is not user-friendly IMO. As I mentioned above, I'm not sure why Toyota discontinued the standard Weather icon on the JBL home screen.
