We had these pre-drilled holes on our roofs???

    Ok, this is a surprise to me... Maybe some of you know, i stumbled on this video and just realized that we have pre-drilled holes on our roofs.... For whatever you darn please to mount up there! I always had an issue with drilling into my roof, but I guess we already have them done factory... WHO KNEW:eek::boom::facepalm::notsure:

    When I first started researching roof racks from Prinsu & others, I watched a few install videos out there. I was surprised too to see the threaded holes already there. At least one of the videos also mentioned possibly having to add an additional nutsert for more support. One of them also had a cool tip on how to only put a hole in the vinyl trim that covers the track when re-installed, as opposed to cutting it completely, and re-installing in sections.

    Guys, i feel left in the dark... All this time i though i had to drill holes i the roof and ive been having nightmares about that!

    Yea, I was looking up Prinsu and wanted to see what kind of damage I had to do...low and behold...predrilled holes! Warms my heart

    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
    Just be sure to seal them up well, some people got leaks after pulling the tape covering those holes. I took extra steps on mine using black silicone around the Prinsu mounting bolts.

    FWIW. A quick trip around the ID of the holes with an exacto knife leaves the tape in place for additional sealing. No need to remove it all. I did this with the OEM rack, added the foam washers that came with it and have had no leaks. :thumbsup:

    do you happen to know the spacing for the set of holes closest to the windshield? I know the rear set of holes match up to a thule feet set, just not sure if the front do too

    I think they're the same but not 100%. Wouldn't Thule application guide tell you?
