Just messing around today i tried to burnout, or do a brake stand, and the truck powered down when both the brake and gas pedals were pushed.. apparently it’s a safety feature? Any way to disable that? It’s a 2017 SR5 2wd.. tried with traction control on and off..

My wife has chirped the tires a few times learning to drive a manual, does that count?

Get something with enough power to burn em without doing a power brake?
Sorry, I'm not helpful beyond that.

Gas and brake pedal at the same time will activate smart stop.. it’s because of the floor mat incident in 09

All those "unintended acceleration" lawsuits of a few years ago? Yeah, those, thank them for that "safety feature"

I did one on a test drive back in 2005. It was a 2wd sport, and I think those had the mechanical limited slip diff. Beyond that, no.

Don’t just push the traction control button, you have to hold it down for a few seconds to completely disable it.

All Toyotas since then will kill power to the engine if the brake and gas are pressed at the same time.

I just dump the clutch and she does it fine. If you don't have a clutch, well then I guess you bought the wrong truck

Never tried it but you gotta hold down the tc button to do one without the brake.

Maybe theres a pedal dance mode? A lot of toyota sports cars you have to do this to get actual full traction aids off.

The pedal dance to my knowledge will not disable smart stop

Don’t do a burnout, dude. Chicks don’t dig that shit.

Edit: Some chicks “might” dig that shit, but still...
