Hey guys, looks like my water pump is leaking a little. I don't know how long since I've never see any puddles under the tuck but living in an apartment complex theres always oil and puddles of stuff in all the parking spots. I found this during an oil change yesterday. The truck has 118575 miles on it with no major repairs, just regular maintenance.

My question is, does anyone know of a good place online to get real OEM Toyota parts at a decent price? The dealer quoted $184 for the water pump, $190 for labor, $90 for the belt, and like $96 for coolant (3 gallons).

I'm going to labor myself with my buddy's help, bought a Gates belt for $40, looking for a water pump now and I can get Toyota red coolant at Carquest for $27 a gallon which saves like $16. Any help in the hunt for a better priced water pump is appreciated.

Aisin is the OEM manufacture of water pumps for most Japanese vehicles. It is for our Sienna, but cannot confirm with 100% certainty on our Tacos. But, that's what I'm getting with when I replace mine. Part# for your 4cyl is WPT-044. $55 on Amazon.

I am not a believer in corporate anti-freeze. I use universal anti-freeze. Currently have SuperTech in all my Toyota products. Except for the Sienna, all have original water pumps and have never had cooling issues. The Sienna's was replaced at about 240K as preventive maintenance, when we had it's 3rd timing belt replaced. Just flush out the old stuff, remembering to drain the engine block coolant from the coolant drain valves.

Do you happen to know where to find those on the V6? I was thinking of doing a coolant flush on mine.

@EatSleepTacos # WPT-802. On Amazon for $83. You probably used Amazon's part finder and it didn't list it. It has it's problems and it will sometimes give out wrong part #s. I always confirm with the manufacture. Haven't checked RockAuto, but I'm sure they carry it also.

Just read Toyota owns 24% of Aisin.

@EatSleepTacos Just realized you meant where to find the drain plugs, not the water pumps. LOL. Lower block on each side. Easily accessible from the wheel wells by removing the skirts. I think the driver-side is the difficult one; you'll need some long extensions with a wobble end, or a u-joint socket. I have 2.5" lift and did not have to remove the wheels to do this; don't know about stock height.

Can anyone confirm Toyota uses/rebrands Aisin part? $55 is way better than $184 (thanks @Chuy).

No idea on that one. Also check rockauto if you're shopping around. I bought an OEM rack and pinion, but refurbished. $230 once I got my $150 core back, and new oem is like $700. Way better deal and good as new.
