Truck sat in some heavy rain all day. Got in the truck and immediately noticed water dripping at a good rate from the driver's side A-pillar. Headliner was soaked all the way back to the back seat, past the b-pillar. I don't have a roof rack, so I'm assuming it's the driver's door seal. Anyone have experience replacing or have a similar experience?

First guess is the sunroof drain tube somehow became disconnected at the top. The drain tube runs down the A-pillar behind the plastic trim panel.

Drains look clear. There's only two right - One in each front corner? Brake light assembly has been done.

Hmm. Would I be able to see that tube from the sunroof or would the A pillar need removed?

Took me a while, could not for the life of me find if there were more than just the 2 drain tubes in the front. Found this diagram you posted on another thread. Saw there's another in the rear. Pulled the headliner down just a little when I had the sunroof up, and sure as shit, I can see the end of the drain tube sticking up. Must have randomly became disconnected, and water ran the whole way down to the a-pillar. Anyways, really appreciate the help! Guess I'll be dropping that headliner this weekend :annoyed:

Good you found the problem ... reminds me to take some weed wacker line and make sure mine are clear.

Wow, sorry to see OP. Glad you have it sorted out. Glad I didn’t go with a TRD sport premium as it includes some tech and a sun roof. I like the idea of sun roofs for those times its nice to use but never wanted to have one on a vehicle I owned long term. But wow thats a lot of water. Hopefully you have no mold issues.

I had a defective roof rack and just drove with the windows open until it was aired out. In cold weather try cranking up the heater, set to no recirculating air, and maybe crake a window. It will dry out fairly quickly.

I'm glad it wasn't worse given the rain we got today. I'll try to dry it out and hope for no issues.

You may want to remove that driver’s side plastic pillar and do a visual to make sure water didn’t get in the air bags in that area. Also some on here have suggested using a portable dehumidifier to be safe.

I've got it parked safe and sound in the garage now where water can't do her any more harm

I shoved a box fan on the passenger front and rear seats and have the dehumidifier running. Best I can do for now.

Only three tubes... talk about never wanting to park uphill leaning to the right in a rain storm.

OP, may want to disconnect the battery, remove the driver's side kick panel, and make sure the body control module and fuse box didn't get wet.

I don’t have the sunroof but my Lexus IS does. I got a recommendation from a Toyota tech to put on a zip tie or something similar on those to keep them secure as insurance. He said it doesn’t happen often but he has seen it enough and usually out out of luck it happens just before you're parked outside out of town or something and come back to a moldy interior. Short story I rigged up mine the next weekend

There are four drain tubes, one for each corner of the roof.
