I’ve been reading through some of the older threads on here about washer fluid reservoir relocation options. I’ve looked into the snowbound kit and the Scarab kit. I’m really interested in the scarab kit https://optoffroad.com/products/sca...servoir-relocation-kit?variant=32680060092463

but I have a fluid level sensor. Anyone with experience with this, what did you do? Drill a hole in the new kit for the level sensor? Can you just pull a fuse or chop the sensor off? I’d rather not have the washer fluid light continually on.

Take a look at the manual on their website. They discuss it on page 6. The short answer is that you can clip the harness or drill another hole, but they won't warranty things if you drill a hole and something goes wrong.

Chop the sensor off and either connect the wires or keep them disconnected, which ever keeps the washer fluid light off.

    Thanks,

yeah I read that part, didn’t know if there was a way to make the sensor stay off.

That looks like a nice kit. Not a terrible price either for a solid mounting solution.
I know a lot of us use this reservoir https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009DJWIUE?ie=UTF8
and just mount it on the left side of the engine bay where ever you can get it to fit.

I think your option will look better, but if you want to save a few $, all I needed to mount it was a few bolts and a couple 1/2" x 2" brackets.

Yeah I saw the thread where a lot of guys were pointing this one out. I’ve got cruise and ABS because I’m fancy like that. Not sure how tight it’d be. Did you have a fluid level sensor or no?

No fluid level sensor, but you can probably drill a hole in the tank to mount it. I don't have ABS, but I do have cruise. If the ABS goes in that back-left corner of the engine bay then yeah doesn't seem like it'll be an easy fit.

At least that relocation kit is a fair price, I didn't even bother looking into one because I figured they would want $200+ for it.

Yes, the ABS and cruise are both there

yeah there’s a kit from Snowbound with an aluminum reservoir that looks super clean and overkill for a washer fluid tank, but they want $250.

Scarab Off-road has been very great about replying to Instagram messages. They said just now that people haven’t had an issue with dash lights if the level sensor is just cut out. If anyone else has experience with removing the level sensor/dealing with the dash light please let me know. Otherwise, thanks all for the input.

What is the reason for changing location of tank?

Tires rubbing the back of the tank on full lock w/ no flex. Took out the shield a few trips ago. Now its held in with zip ties lol
