    Here is the bracket

and the cable ($25) that is long enough to reach all the way ahead of the passengers feet. Back under their seat and have 2-3 foot extra coax left.

I bought these two things and am finishing up quad band ft-8900 install today. For the antenna I got these two things.

Ok so the bracket fits perfect. I closed the tailgate VERY slowly the first time. It came close. I just pushed it a little and it is fine now. Nice clearance away from the truck. A great mount. I also bought that cable. Which I wanted NMO mount. What I didn expect is that the NMO mount unscrews and it becomes something you can easily put through the existing hole in the bracket. THEN I discovered that the other jack part that connects to your radio completely unscrews and you are left with just the center connector so you can route it through your truck EASILY. Then you reassemble it in the cab and screw the end pieces back on. 20 foot I think is enough to get anywhere from the back passenger side of the truck to anywhere in the cab you want to go.

I still havent figured out where I am going to put the FT8900 radio. I kinda like the idea of taking the seat out and strapping it under the seat and then running the face into that worthless phone charging place in the center console. More pics to follow as I figure this out.

Just got my GMRS license yesterday and was listening on that. What an interest rabbit hole that was. Was cool to find a repeater 1/2 mile north of me with people on it.

The cable routing is still a work in progress. I also have to electrically ground the antenna and bring power to the cab for the radio.

Thanks for posting. I've been looking into both CB and GMRS. I have a ARE camper shell on my rig but it looks like this mount and any associated antennae would work fine.

yup worked perfect still going strong. Im very pleased.. That cable was nice too in that BOTH ends unscrewed so you could thread it through places that were the size of the coax and then screw the coax ends back on. Very VERY nice.

If you go with a CB I'd recommend that you buy a no ground plane antenna kit. I have a Leer cap and I have tried everything to get my SWR down with no success.
