My wife and I have been trying to decide on new tires for our SR5. It will probably be a while before we do a lift so I am curious as to what a stock Tacoma looks like with Falken Wildpeaks with 245/75R16 vs 265/75R16. If we decide to go with the larger tire size will we need to remove the factory mud guards?

    Thanks for the assistance.

Those look good. Are those the stock mud guards on the front and back? Also did you remove the lower air damn on the front? I see you have an Off Road but from what I understand all of the trims other than the Pro are the same height, so what you have set up should work on on SR5.

I was afraid my 265/75/16 were gonna rub my mud guards but there’s plenty of room even with flex. Happy about that, less crap flung onto the rockers.

Stock Mud Guards and no rubbing. TRD Off Road doesn't have the lower air damn in front. You shouldn't have a problem on your SR5

If you don't need the extra tire height, you could go with the stock 265/70/16 sizing. Better MPG, power, handling, etc.

The extra height is the main reason I want to go up that size. For the SR5 stock is 245/75/16, which is why I was wondering if there were any pictures of stock trucks with that size.
