    Wow. That's no fun.
Not particularly hard. But not as easy as to get to as the previous gen trucks.

OP.......Here it is. Just like Vlady said.

True, but I bet the issue is somewhere else in vvti system

    I agree.

Ordinarily, I'd point that out and suggest other checks first.
But I have to be honest. Lately, I've been a bit "lazy" in my answers.

If someone comes in with a prenotion that what they are going to do, will fix a problem.
I'll help them fix the problem they "think" they have. Especially when I don't know what they have done beforehand to come to that conclusion.
OP doesn't say what he did (tested) to make him think they were "clogged".

Like I said, It's me being lazy. I just went with "He must have checked other stuff first".
So I tossed up a pic to help better show him where it was.

BTW Vlady. Good to see you in the 3rd Gen section helping out.
I mostly stick to the 1st and 2nd Gen section.
I haven't fooled with enough 3rd Gens to really offer "good" help.

I've owned and had hands on 1st and 2nd Gens.

How do you know they are dirty or clogged? What are your symptoms ? Are you changing your oil regularly ?

I was just trying to get that checked since it was an assumption, I saw it was a possibility for a issue i have and was wondering where they are located to just inspect if it was possible.
My truck is having a random hesitation/loss of power when accelerating. It's like it doesn't matter how hard i hit the pedal, it just takes several seconds to respond and even rev up. an NO, its not the "its just how these trucks are. You'll get used to it. Get it tuned" it is an actual problem. My truck was tuned way before and was really running great, services are done regularly, oil, plugs, filter, everything.
At this point I'm just trying to get small things checked out in order to see whatcthe problem might be. I got a code p033015 the other day, it went away but im changing both knock sensors and harness anyways since i had acces to a pretty cheap price on the oem parts. However if that does not solve the problem i want to know what other things to look at

You need to have vvt codes to consider opening the engine.
Start using a datalog process to isolate the issue.
Knock sensor broken circuit forces ecu to retard ignition.

That's what my mechanic told me, so I'm hoping that by replacing the bad knock sensor the issue gets solved. Like i said, i only get the code every once in a while and it goes away

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
How many miles on the plugs?

Sensor could be ok. Check the wiring. This is the typical place for mice.
