How many of y’all 1 gen guys tried a vortex performance chip from preformanceusa? I wanting to do some things to improve the hp of my 3.4 and this seems like a quick and chip job to add a little.

They are massive scam, and a waste of money. Toyota ECU's are locked, and cannot be modified. They don't do anything except mess with the fuel trim, I believe making the engine run richer. If you open up their "chip" you will notice it's just a single resistor and some weighs to make it appear substantial.

If you really want some actual results, the only surefire way is a turbo or supercharger. Headers are negligible, cold air intakes don't do much at all.

Okay thanks for the info, sounds like I need to just be on the look out for a good deal on a supercharger
