I was thinking of upgrading my front turns signals to VLED V6 Tritons or Extremes 7440/7443. Does anyone have them and is the V6 Extremes TOO bright? I dont want to blind the people in front of me. Cost with the Black Friday deal is $232 for the Tritons (w/resistors) and $245 for the extremes (no resistors required) since i am purchasing 2 sets, one for my Taco fronts and another for my wifes NX rears. For the $13 difference for both sets, should I go big, or is it too BIG?

You won’t be disappointed with the V6 Extreme up front. Mine are insanely bright!

I agree they will be bright, but is it too bright? During the night, do they light up the interior of the vehicle in front of you? I dont want to be that obnoxious person with the crazy bright lights shining in their rear view. I want them bright, but not blinding.

They do light up street signs in front when flashing. I try to be considerate when sitting behind someone at a stop light and only turn them on before I start to move. For me the trade-off of someone not missing my turn signal is worth it. Even the standard V6 Triton is a nice upgrade over stock.

Depending on what you have for the rear turn signals you may not even need resistors on the V6 Triton. The TRD versions of the Tacoma aren't very sensitive because of the mirror turn signals.

I have a TRD Sport. I have the Meso total tails stage 1, with the VLEDS resistors on both sides and Meso mirror turn signal lights. I currently have some JDM ASTAR yellow base amber LEDs in the front turn signals with no hyper flash but if i try ANY other LED amber bulbs (another blacked out JDM ASTAR, Morimoto XV-F, Cheap Amazon bulbs), they all hyper flash. The only one that doesnt hyper flash without resistors is those Yellow base JDM ASTAR bulbs that i read in another post that doesnt cause hyper flash. The thing i dont like about those JDM ASTARS is they have a bunch of yellow orangy LED chips that reflects off of the bucket and I dont like that look. I like the look of the VLEDS V6 Triton or Extremes since they dont show the yellowness of the LED chips when just turned off in the turn signal reflector buckets. Thats why i tried the Morimoto XV-F, but they were not as bright as I would have liked. Kinda sucked actually for $45 bulbs. I may just go with the V6 Tritons w/resistors since I think they will be more then bright enough without blinding people.
