All my windows are tinted and the guy also included a visor tint if I so choose to come back to have it done, no extra cost. I'm leaning towards getting it done, but just curious to see everyone else's opinion on it, because without your opinions, my life would be meaningless.

I had it installed on mine for all of 2 days. I'm 5'11 the visor cut right in the middle of my line of vision. I LOVED it for blocking sunlight and glare, but it annoyed me having to constantly look through the edge between the visor tint and the windshield. IMHO the windshield is to small for it. But it honestly would depend how tall you are and where it would fall in your line of sight.

I have never done it to any of my vehicles, but I could see it being handy whilst driving into the sun.

I'm not a fan of how it looks but it does serve a functional purpose so if you want it go for it. With that said, my vote is no based purely on looks

Mine has a big vinyl strip right there. I'd do tint for sure. It's nice to have something there.

I was never a fan of the look until I went to get my taco tinted and it was only an extra $20, heck if I don't like it, I could rip it off.

I would recommend sitting in your driver's seat and looking on the passenger side of the windshield at where you see a small line with "AS-1" written by it, this marks how low the tint can go (legally).

If it looks like it would cut into your line of sight, ask the shop to make it a little shorter. I didn't give the place any specific instructions and they actually went about an inch PAST the AS-1 line which surprised me, but also I am only 5'8" and it sits perfect. Here in Florida, it's almost a must.

If only the taco had height adjustable seats...

When I got my tint done I opted not to do the visor. I feel the windshield is too narrow to do the visor and it would be right in your field of view

I got the hold windshield done, I like the look and it helps a lot. There is no line that you have to worry about, only thing is not legal.

True, but can you imagine how much that would cost to replace after a rock chip...

20170606_130227.jpg I did mine. It's not to drastic, but it helps when the visor doesn't reach.

I got the whole windshield myself, but only slightly as it's illegal here in CA and officers like to enforce it where I live.

I did it and i like mine. I'm 6'0 and the "line" doesn't bother me.

Depends on your tint, buy cheap stuff and no one bats an eye. Buy ceramic (like I did) and everyone loses their mind$

    Well said!
Get it done and see which stands out more - pros or cons.
You can always remove it if you don't want it.
I've always had it on every single car I've owned since 1980 and that's 20+.

Isn't that the truth. I did it on my last car, but did a clear tint that helps cut down on the UV by 40% I may do that again on the front windshield of the taco

Same, I think I got like a 10 % or 15% added to the windshield (sorry if the numbers are wrong) makes the windshield slightly darker with a nice edgy look, but makes it functional to reduce glare and headlight flare on opposing freeway traffic.

had the windshield tint put on my wife's Tiguan.

    hate, hate, and more hate.

it gets scratches, it collects dust, it collects fingerprints like crazy. it's far less clear than the glass, and it fully messes with all my sunglasses, especially the polarized ones.

glad it's my wife's... i have limo tint on the Tacoma but the front glass stays clean and clear.
