I am considering a viper cut on my Tacoma purely for the aesthetics. First question, is this a foolish mod to pursue seeing as it is just for looks? Second, has anyone tried to close off the inevitable gap that comes with cutting the fenderwell plastic? Thanks

It’s mainly for the 4Runner crowd. I haven’t seen the “viper cut” on a Tacoma. I don’t think it would look good on our bumpers. On the T4R’s is give your a little more ground clearance but it’s mainly for looks IMO.

Proper Prior Planning. Honestly I did it out of both necessity and aesthetic. After a cab mount chop and trimming the rear fender well, I still had rubbing on the forward fender well. While I could have only taken what I needed, after watching a few YT videos I decided to give this a shot knowing i have future plans for new bumper anyway.

Thank you, I played with the tape lines since yesterday, LOL. I used a porter cable oscillating job tool, I use this tool quite often and felt I had way more control than my Dremel.
