Viper 4806v Autostart question

So I just had a

$185 Viper 4806v 2-Way LED Remote Start System

Viper 4806v Professionally installed. It seems there are a couple of issues with it:

1. After using the auto start and allowing it to shut itself off the auto headlights won't shut off unless you open the drivers side door . The autodim interior lights function properly.

2. The audible honk no longer functions.

When I talked to the shop it sounded like it wasn't difficult to get the lock sound back , however they seemed really confused about the auto lights and didn't have a clue what to do.

Any thoughts?

This is very simple and if they don't know how to do this then I do have serious concerns of what else they did improperly.

I have been out of the alarm game 20 years and know how to fix this issue.

To fix this issue, they need to utilize the factory rearm wire to pulse the driver door pin, which will simulate someone opening the door whenever the remote start shuts off so your retained accessories will go into sleep mode.

i had the same problem and had to take it somewhere else for them to fix, the original shop sucked, its a long story.
