I am wanting to vinyl wrap my taco just cause I am looking for some new a different color other than stock and want to do it myself I know it does take time, patience, and learning but I feel like if you pick up well on this it can be easy and something you can use for a number of things !
I just wanted to know if anyone knew of good vinyls to use and where to get im in socal area. Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Oh and yes I am aware of cost :spending:

I would think anything made by 3M would be good.

It can be an expensive hobby to try and learn tho.

    Good Luck.

Lol good luck. I've done it several times and it definitely requires a skill learned by repetition and trial and error. You will mess it up... a lot. But if you are ok with that then go!

Good luck! If you've never vinyl wrapped before, starting with an entire truck probably wouldn't be easy. You'll need to take off pretty much everything that is bolted/glued to the exterior before you begin wrapping. In the end it may be cheaper to pay someone else to do it.

I'd recommend you spend the money to get a subscription to the wrap institute. The videos are very informative. The tools they recommend will make it so much easier and with a quality look.

Wrap institute is the training program we use at our wrap shop for new hires and to refresh

Good luck. I've consider trying it out but it's not going to be easy. You'll have to find someone with baby fingers to get in between the rear and bed correctly or else remove the entire bed (sides).

I can't even tint a window. Let alone clean the truck well enough for vinyl wrap. I'd 100% pay someone.

Winter digital camo for me thanks.

Plasti dip has come a long way. They sell kits for whole vehicles, looks pretty good usually IF done correctly. Something to consider

It might be difficult to do, but people are doing it. Someone must be willing to let us know how much they spend on their truck for it.

Yes that is true ! I Dipped my 05 Mustang a wine red and first time i totally messed it up so I peeled it off and second time went on like a charm and man the color is GOREGEOUS The quality isn't gonna be as good as vinyl wrap obviously but yeah you know this may be the move and way cheaper because I am quite indecisive and like to change things often and the color will probably be my fix to that and its like 500 for the whole truck at most so that'll be nice !

The hood is too easy, try wrapping the roof.

If you're still sane and sober after that try the rest.

That's what I was thinking to just do the roof and as long as i'm sane and sober then go for the rest. I feel as if I shouldnt have problems with it but again I could be digging myself a huge hole lmao.
