Vinyl (Wrap) Partial Protector for Hood

Anyone aware of a partial vinyl/wrap type protector for just the leading edge of the hood...say like the first 6-8"?

Just touched up a bunch of little nicks/chips in that area and was thinking a strip of texture vinyl might be a good solution to 1) Cover all those chips/nicks and 2) Prevent additional chips/nicks.

Not looking for a clear one (lamin-x, etc.)

Don't want to mount a bug deflector.

 

3m makes a textured pattern called matrix black (3m1080 matrix black) that is pretty cool. Otherwise you could use matte black vinyl. But the paint protection film is really what it sounds like your after.

 

Could have front of the hood done with a vinyl wrap matching color
