I truly don't understand, why do you have a roof wrap? Nobody can see it, it doesn't help with any reflections. Practically only you and the helicopter police will see it?

You actually do see it .. unless your blind af.. it’s to protect the paint of the roof.. so I guess it serves 2 purposes

    1. to protect the paint
    2. To cover failing clear coat
    3. Color change.
    4. His truck, he can do what ever he wants and your opinion doesn’t matter.

You can do it yourself, especially if you are only doing the roof. Hey, I had no idea of how to do wrapping, at all, but I had to look at it because of my wife's 1996 RAV4, which was in desperate need of help! It had been painted several times, each time, lasting less than the paint job before. I was pretty disgusted about it, and was looking around, when I remembered that people get their cars "wrapped". I then went to the place that has all information, "Youtube", and found a vinyl company called Vvivid Vinyl. There are a multitude of videos out there, that show how to wrap a vehicle. After watching many videos on it, I convinced myself that I could wrap my wife's RAV4 myself, and at least, do as good of a job as the previous paint jobs. Well, I ordered my vinyl from Amazon actually, but it was Vvivid vinyl, as they have an Amazon page too. Anyway, it was cheaper to get it from amazon, than direct from Vvivid Vinyl. I admit to spending several hours doing the whole thing, but in the end, it looked then, and still looks now, FANTASTIC! The ROOF was actually the best and EASIEST area to do, because it was basically a straight shot, with only slight curves. A Tacoma roof should be very easy to do, from my experience with this RAV4. I am just putting this out there, as an option. Wrapping is expensive if you have to pay someone else to do it! Good luck! Oh, by the way, I actually videotaped my whole experience in wrapping my wife's RAV4 and it is on youtube. It came out that well, well enough to post it! Here is the link [I should have put this link in when I first posted this! Oh well...] https://youtu.be/W2Ofb1TRI20

That's how I painted this RAV4 the last time it was painted! I figured I couldn't do any worse than the previous people who painted it, so I painted it with spray cans of paint. It actually came out pretty good, and I and the wife, were happy with it. The problem though, was that it did not last, and about it year later, was when it was so bad that I was looking at options and came across the idea of wrapping it. Best thing I have done! The wife told me though, when I was wrapping it, that I should just do the best I could, and that she was not expecting perfection. I told her, "don't worry, it won't be perfect", and it isn't. BUT, it is dang sure better than it was, and now, 8 months later, it still look good and WAY better than it did!

OK. and glad you liked the video. The reason I mentioned it in the first place, was because the roof was actually the best and easiest part of my wrapping my wife's RAV4. In just looking at the small roof on the Tacoma, well, that would be even easier!
