I get my ‘23 TRD OR (Lunar Rock) Double-cab in a couple weeks. Although the blackout lettering looks good on Seafoam Slurry, I’m sticking with the chrome. I’m going to keep the aftermarket add-ons to a minimum but I do plan on adding the vintage Landcruiser “4 Wheel Drive” reproduction emblem to the tailgate. I’m also considering adding (red) 1950s era FJ25 reproduction hood emblems on each rear door (where the SR5/LIMITED badges are typically located). It’s 5.75”x1.5”, roughly the size of the LIMITED badge.

If you like badges, rock some badges. If you like chrome, rock some chrome. Personally I debadged and removed my TRDOR bedside stickers. Hell, one guy on here has a giant unicorn decal on his tailgate. You do you, Boo.

    And welcome to Tacoma World.

Unicorn? Well damn… I guess I’ll put those giant space cats on the hood after all. I’m really digging this new found freedom…

The LC 4WD badge is pretty cool. I would probably put that on the ‘02, but I like the clean look on my ‘20.

OP it seems like you have thought this out. I think the vintage emblems work, as long as you really get the placement right. Also I can't tell from the pictures if they are 'scaled' right, that is, not too big, not too little. Perhaps consider the 4 wheel drive on the driver's side since that is where the 4x4 emblem usually goes. Personally I am not a fan of blackout overlays. I prefer to de-badge or color match the emblems.

the 4WD emblem would look OK, the other vintage emblem not so much imo.
