    Hey all,

Got the call back from the shop today and the bumper/hitch assembly is on national backorder with no ETA. They let me know that if I wanted to go after market that is another option. Since I'm going to have to replace the whole assembly anyways I am currently looking at bumpers with integrated hitches. I know they don't get the hitches verified to DOT standards for legal/cost reasons, but I was curious if anyone had experience with towing using an aftermarket bumper in general or Victory 4x4's offering specifically. I already have a front bumper and sliders to pick up from them so ordering the rear bumper would be a matter of convenience but I'm open to other options as well. Appreciate any input!

I don’t have experience towing with mine but I don’t see why it would be an issue as long as the load isn’t too much. A couple things I find interesting about the victory specifically is they don’t mention the size of the mounting plate to the frame. I see that it’s made out of .188” and the recovery taps are 3/4”, but nothing on the actual mount to the frame. Also I’m curious if that lip that is under the hitch receiver will cause any issues with clearing some drop hitches. Finally, with a higher receiver location you may need additional drop in your hitch depending on what you are towing.

For comparison, my BAMF has no lip, is a solid 1/2” plate from the frame out to the recovery points, and has (I think) 1.5” square tube triangulated from the mounting plates to the receiver.

I'm trying to find out what the rear of the bumper looks like but I haven't been able to find any pictures. It looks like it mounts up to the same body mounts that the hitch uses.

If it’s constructed the same as the 2nd gen it’s something thinner than 1/2 and gusseted. https://youtu.be/BF138jVYx3g

I've got two gen 3 hitches sitting on the side of my house. Not sure where you're based.

I appreciate it but I need the whole assembly if I went the stock route again and they're both on back order so I'd be waiting regardless unfortunately :/.

I appreciate the input, I actually have a front bumper and sliders on order from them too so once they told me I was likely going to have to go aftermarket I figured I might just go the rest of the way around with them lol. I like the hidden hitch idea as well I just tow a lot so that's why I was a bit hesitant
