Hi all from deep in the Ozarks, somewhere in the woods,...
I'm getting ready to pull my valve cover, and replace the old leaky gasket. I have a Haynes Manual, but it dosen't give me the torque spec for the valve cover bolts. A lil help,......?

On a side note, I have over 260,000 miles on my lil mule, and I love her dearly!

I can't say for sure with the 2.7, but the 3.4 valve cover bolts are torqued to 13 ft-lb. That seems to be a fairly common torque value for valve covers, because they're such small bolts and all they need to do is compress the gasket slightly. Over-torquing them will definitely cause leakage.
