Guys I just started a new thread for all wedge owners, if y'all can post up links or share what you have done that would be great. I'm compiling a FAQ or reference for current and future wedge owners.

Hey folks, anyone have suggestions on what suspension upgrades would be good for my truck to accomodate the soon-to-be-mine drifter? I have a stock 2002 4x4 4-cyl that needs a suspension upgrade anyhow. I'm looking at needing new leaf springs and shocks/struts. I'm not a heavy off-roader, and will mostly be using the truck to get way back into places I couldn't in my old Corolla (though that little car was a beast with a decent driver behind the wheel). I'm not opposed to a small lift, but I'm generally happy with stock height. I don't know enough about suspension, lift and constant loads, but I'm sure there are more than a few folks who know a lot more and have opinions. I'm all ears!

I could suggest calling Deaver Springs and chatting with them over your goals and realistic weight expectations. From there, you will get a comprehensive answer as to what type of spring and shock you should be after for your truck.

Call Deaver. I’d skip Dakar if others reccomend it. I do a bit of offroading and the pack just isn’t that good.

I called deaver and made an order in august. lol. Needless to say, it never came. I had a conversation w/ the guy too and he said that 7,000 lbs on a Tacoma is just too much.

    :p

He's the one I gave my credit card info to.

There was no limits to the gripes he had about his staff esp their inability to respond to email.
