Here's a look at the inner workings of the cabinet. It has an 8 gallon water tank that has a fill line, a vent line, a line to the water pump, and a drain line to empty the tank. The pump is a Shurflo, it can pump water from the tank or by switching a couple valves it can pump from a outside source like a water jug. From the pump out it feeds the sink and a outside water quick connect for a hose or shower nozzle. The diesel heater originally came with a fuel tank that was to big for this cabinet, so I'm using a aluminum beer growler. I installed everything into the truck today with a few more details to finish up, then I'll post up more pictures.

Anyone have a 2nd gen rear window plastic flap that goes over the tailgate? I have an early one that is only as wide as the window frame and hoping to find one that has the angle & extra width for better sealing.

@excav8tor what's your pressure relief plan for the beer growler?

    Dang I wish I had this instead of the window. Tired of people trying to look at me when I’m changing (;

No platform as what everyone suggested. I bolted my set up straight through the bed of the truck haha :sawzall:

I'm not talking about the seal, I'm talking about the hard plastic piece bolted on. The early ones came with vertical ones, not the bent ones.

    This is what I have:

I'm probably going to get new brakes to help stop all the extra weight. I am straight up ignorant to brakes and options though. Anyone have any quality but not spendy suggestions? Sufficient to just get better front brakes?

Yeah, look into the "tundra brake upgrade".
Was one of my best mods. I used to go through pads like nothing with my big wheels/tires and added armor. I like to think I'm a conservative braker too.

I mixed and matched on my Tundra brake upgrade.
    Calipers
    • NAPA Brake Caliper, Brake Caliper w/ Hardware - Right Front (Eclipse Semi-Loaded) - Remfd, PART # :CAL SE3264
    • NAPA Brake Caliper, Brake Caliper w/ Hardware - Left Front (Eclipse Semi-Loaded) - Remfd, PART # :CAL SE3263
Rotors - Slotted, cryro treated, and ED coated so the venting and hub sections aren't going to rust
    • StopTech Brake Rotors - Sport Slotted (126.44118SL) (2003 Tundra)
    • StopTech Brake Rotors - Sport Slotted (126.44118SR)
Pads - A bit dusty, but good power and modulation with no noise
EBC Brakes DP71657 7000 Series Greenstuff SUV Supreme Compound Brake Pad

I highly recommend getting TurboDB's Tundra swap brake line kit (I have one for sale since I am selling my 1st gen - PM me)

You think that'd be sufficient for the drifter and bed build weight? What does that brake line kit entail? I'm trying to wrap my head around what a tundra brake upgrade means. Thanks

The "Tundra swap" puts larger calipers, but the bigger benefit is that the rotors are both THICKER and larger in diameter. This gives you a lot more surface area for friction and density to absorb and disperse heat, leading to better braking performance.

Before I even got the Drifter on my 1st gen DCSB, I did the swap because the OEM brakes were not great when loaded up. I have never once thought about the brakes not performing when I had the Drifter on and was loaded up on trips.

EDIT: I updated my earlier post with a link to the TurboDB brake line kit.

made a low profile fridge slide today, going to build a cabinet behind it later on out of 80/20. Also secured my base plate to the bed by drilling thru the bed and putting some tee nut inserts uptop. Fridge slide is just a simple 1/4 aluminum plate bolted to some accuride heavy duty slides.

Looks slick! What’s the horizontal load rating on those slides?
