I'm looking into upgrading my toolbox from the $20 used plastic Delta toolbox that I found on Craigslist. After researching on here it I'm trying to decide between 63 inch, black, low profile, wedge toolboxes. I've pretty much narrowed it down to either UWS or Better Built. Weatherguard would be ideal but I can't handle that price. I know UWS makes a superior product but is the increase in quality worth the increase in price? Here are the ones I'm thinking about.

I'll be calling around some local places tomorrow to see what kind of prices I can get but I expect the UWS to be about $100 more. Any other suggestions are also welcome if you think I shouldn't get either.

UWS all the way. I had the black low-pro one on my truck for a long time. definitely not a cheap box, but well worth the money. Very well put together. I just sold it recently after years of abuse for 200$. It's like the tacoma of toolboxes.;)

I know this is an older thread, and I have a first gen Tacoma, but could one of you (or anybody for that matter) tell me which box you decided to buy? and from where? I ordered a Better Built that did not fit, however I've heard that UWS is the way to go. If someone could let me know a model that will fit, and where I can order it from, I'd be really happy.
PS: I know I can order one from UWS's site, but I prefer not to pay $100.00 shipping on top of a $400.00 box

I got a uws low profile, got it for free from a friend that owed me some dough, honestly he got the short end Cuz he gave me that box for tinting his windshield which cost me about $10 and 20 mins haha.

Anyway.. I love the thing, shocks are high quality, box looks good and it has ample space for me. I lined the thing with carpet as well since I don't usually carry very dirty shit in there
