I am using a Galaxy S20 and have tried to connect to AA while also connected to the onboard WIFI and cannot seem to get it to work. Phone and Android are capable of dual WIFI, but seems like truck drops WIFI once AA connects.

    Any thoughts?

Nobody here try this? Tried scouring the webs and see people with similar issue on other vehicles.

I have no specific input, but anecdotally, my S20+ had all sorts of problems in this truck. After exhausting all troubleshooting options, I finally gave in and upgraded to an S24+ and most of my issues have gone away. Still the occasional annoyance though, like AA deciding not to connect, or randomly zero touchscreen response within AA. And that one spot on my commute still disconnects AA 100% of times I drive past it.

Doubt the phone can be connected to 2 separate wifi connections at the same time.

I've looked into this one alot. Yes new phones are technically capable to connect to two wifi networks at once but none are setup for it. The key here is to plug your phone into the USB C charger on the passenger side of media screen. That will enable wired Android Auto. You can keep the wifi free to connect to the built in Hotspot or a starlink setup.

Thank you for the side of screen port headsup, I never saw it, was never pointed to out to me, etc. lol. I don't think the 2 below the hvac are data, just for power.

Yup. Spent alot of time figuring out why AA wired wouldn't work for me from those two ports. AA wireless uses so much power I was plugging in anyway.

If anyone's AA still fights your wifi for control of the phone you can uncheck wireless android auto in your phone AA settings. You may have to do developer mode.
