Just curious if anyone has used the built-in gopro mount to hold their phone. I know it's a bit far off to the right to be overly useful for a phone, but might be good enough. If so, which mount did you use? I'm mainly thinking of using it to hold a phone for navigation. I know other mounts exist (I have one) but just curious.

I was thinking about this a couple weeks ago for doing time lapses of road trips without having to buy a dedicated camera. I'm about to upgrade my phone, so I would have a spare iPhone 6s to leave up there for whatever.

Edit: this is the one I was looking at

I just did this, mostly to use an old phone as a camera. Mount works really well but the camera isnt really that wide an angle. I'll try to post some pics and the parts I ordered later.

Thanks. That's kind of like what I was thinking but haven't ever tried any.
