USB cover

Has anyone seen a place where you can get just the cover for the USB port in a 2016 Tacoma TRD? It seems that you have to order the entire USB module but hoping I am wron.

 

Mine is off permanently. I think it's in the center console somewhere. I have a mini USB stick in the port for music and it stays there.

I'm in Western NC. If I can find it and you come and get it, you can have it.

also looking for this? Toyota says you have to buy the whole entire USB module which is over $100 CDN.

Too bad. You do help someone out, even a simple, 'got it, thanks for the help' shouldn't be too hard.

Lack of simple courtesy is growing and at its worst it's showing it's ugly face in road rage.

 

Mine is in the center console as well. I just keep a mini USB with all my music on it.

 

I did this three years ago.

 

Calling @micwillia or @MESO - cover replacements for data port - OEM type and one with room for covering it with mini USB drive needed!!!

Please, oh mighty great ones with 3-D printers???

I'm a little late to the party, but is anyone still needing the USB cover for their Tacoma? I have the same issue, but I also have a 3d printer and am willing to make a run of these for those who need one. I will hold off for a week or so to await responses.

 

I no what you mean about dealer on that. When I had my 2010 the sunglasses holder I knocked it 1 day and broke 1 of the tabs off and dealer said it would be like 150 or some crazy number so I looked at it and said let's put a screw in the broken side. Worked perfectly till I sold it. Plastic insides just piss you off sometimes

If you are still working on a solution I would be interested as long as shipping to Canada is not too silly. Mine broke first use on my 2020. I honestly think it may have been broken from the beginning (Perhaps are careless test driver) and the dealer wants $175.00 CAD for a new module.

 

I sent my original to a guy here on TW. I have a mini USB permanently installed with 4000+ songs so I don't use it.

If anyone on this forum has any STL files for the cover let me know I’ll pay for them I have 2 printers at home I can make em on and Ik a few ppl here in Florida looking for that dumb little cover lol
