    Hello, fellow Taco owners.
I am new here but not new to the Toyota Tacoma World Threads been reading them for quite some time. I have done a few mods on my Taco and Frontier over the years. I have about 30 plus years as a auto technician, I am currently Quality Control Inspector for Aviation modification. I have the URD Rotrex kit installed on my Taco 2tr-fe. It has been interesting to say the least. Zero support across the US for the piggy back MAP Ecu3 no Maps at all none that I have found.

We should soon have access to flash these ECU's. I'd be more than happy to help you out once the necessary mapping tools are available.

It is not that I would not recommend it, I found out the hard way from trial and error. I most defiantly would not recommend it to a none mechanic who just wants to slap a kit on. These trucks absolutely do not like to be messed with, ECU wise. I put the 500 dollar wire harness on to avoid damaging my stock harness configuration. The Map ECU3 has a base map once you get everything going its not super difficult to figure out, but it is not something simple to look at either. Looking at the tables you can see where the adjustments are but without a tuning professional, I would not mess with them. I however did find a company in Arizona that wanted my truck there for their engineer to make a harness for their Stand alone system. I really wanted it tuned by them, but I am on a travel team doing mods so I couldn't leave my truck with them at the time it also is about 2500 for their set up too. Out the door for me ad this kit was 6k. So the gains I have is about 39 hp over stock low boost about 7 psi safely so far. That's a lot coin for the 25 percent more power. I do know that this is most definitely not a high Rpm engine its sweet spot is about 3600 rpm to 5200 rpm. DVVT i range. It does tow better and will reach 110 mph quicker for sure but you are now running 91 octane and get about 18 mpg average. I have a peddle commander installed to it helps also.

It's all hook up correct that was photo during the application prior to completion. It's running in to the intake hose on the blower.
