Hey guys, as the title states I am purchasing an upgrade for my 2010 Sport Dbl Cab non JBL with steering wheel controls(non bluetooth/phone). I decided on the Pioneer AVH-4200NEX and I will be buying from Crutchfield. I just want to make sure I have everything I need before I get into the install.

Here is what I have so far:

    Pioneer Head Unit - AVH-4200NEX
    Gray Scosche Dash Kit
    Metra 70-1761 Wiring Harness
    Metra ASWC-1 Steering wheel control
Metra 70-8114 Adapter for SW controls
    Parking Brake bypass

I dont have a solder gun so what are the best wire connectors to use?

Anything that I am missing here?

Looks like you got it all. I've always used the tube-shaped connectors because they feel more sturdy to me than the twist on type, but the twist on type are easy/quick to install

As Justin said, use Butt Connectors (usually the red ones for that diameter wire) and shrink wrap all of the connections. Also, if you are going to be using satellite radio, you'll need the appropriate parts for that also.

I got everything wired up tonight. Pretty straight forward. Got confused on a couple of wires(purple/white, and yellow/black on Pioneer side and blue on Metra side). I guess they don't get used so I capped them off. I got bypass, Sirius unit, and the steering wheel controls hooked up. Not sure yet on the swc connections to maintain Aux input. I plugged the Metra 70-8114 rca's into the audio input rca's on h/u. I guess I will see when I install on Sunday.
