    None... yet.
    I just purchased the same exact P1692s for my 2012 and was considering replacing the OEM tweeters with the same DS-18s you installed. I have the base model Access cab, so there were no rear speakers included. I'm curious though... In your experience so far, have you noticed any issues with the fact that the P1692s are 2-way speakers and the separate DS-18 tweeters you installed? Aren't the P1692s and DS-18s essentially producing the same 'highs' and if so, doesn't this 'muddy' the sound? I was considering returning the P1692s and getting proper component speakers for the front instead.

    I am by no means an audio file. I put in a new head unit at the same time and it has a pretty detailed equalizer, that I was able to do adjustments with some Googleing. I will say that I could hear a great deal more high end on the DS-18 tweeters than the P1692s or at least it seemed that way to me. I don't know if it was because it is just a tweeter or what. I am happy with the sound I am getting from all of the changes. I think the P1692s sound great. No matter which way you go you will be having a much better sound quality than the OEM speakers. Hope that helps.

    What head unit did you choose and why? There are so many, it’s hard to navigate which one is best. Are you happy with your choice?

    I ended up going with the Idoing head unit. It is I think a Chinese made unit. I had seen a few reviews of it on YouTube and they were positive about it. One of the reviews pointed out that it runs on true Android 12 so you can receive Android updates and not depend on the manufacture. I did get the ROM and RAM upgrade, and the OBD II plugin. I don't really use the OBD II, but it was only $8.99 so no big deal. For me it has plenty of power to push my upgraded speakers. I don't have any subwoofers so I can't speak to that. But with all the upgrades I still haven't turned it all the way up, there is no need to, unlike it was with the OEM. There will be one plugin that you don't use, it went to the satellite radio I believe. I ran my microphone and taped it to the top of the steering wheel. That required me to pull a lot of my dash out, but now I have hands free calling and people say I sound fine when using it. If you do go with it, I would recommend doing some research about setting up an equalizer. I did and adjusted it to how I like it to sound. The presets are fine but everybody likes it a little different. For me the sound quality is fine, but as I said above I am no audiophile(spelled it right this time). Also, yes the steering wheel control works with it, but you have to set it up, there is a screen for it. Yes, CarPlay works with my iPhone on it. I would say that Yes I do like it. I am glad I got it. Below is a picture of where I put the microphone for reference.

    TLDR;
    Yes, I like it and would recommend it.

    biggest thing in selecting a head unit is to identify what options you want, what level of quality you want, and what price you're willing to pay. very generally, the more being paid, the more polished the software and support will be for any given head unit brand.
