    I was looking into what my confusion was and per the https://www.toyota.com/firmware-updates/download site, when I put in my VIN, the only choice I had was for the 13TDANNA-DA11 but my actual unit is 13TDANNA-DA21. I don't understand why Toyota can't keep their stuff straight! Lol.

    Edit - My Tacoma is a 2018 but for some reason, my unit is for a 2019 Tacoma. Weird.

    Not sure what you have, but 13TDANNA-DA21 is not even for a Taco. :D You have a 4Runner?

    Looks like you probably need the $65 sub for 2 days eh. I don't wanna sub myself, but I'd be happy to chip in a couple of bucks if somebody else subs lol.

    Yeah it's so weird. Like I , stated above, when I input my VIN into the Toyota for the firmware update, supposedly Toy thinks I have the DA11 and that coincides with every TSB that I have seen.

    I went onto the web site (toyota.com/firmware-updates), entered the VIN for my 2017 and the only update there is from 2017 and would get my unit to 10192 (file 13DANNA-DA11_0146.kwi). In the TSB from 2020, it looks like there are much newer versions than that available for my head unit.

    The TSB from 2022 specifies file 13DANNA-DA11_0167.kwi. From where can I download this file?

    I just had the exact same confusion since the PDF wasn’t matching what my unit said. Either way, got it updated this morning.

    Does anybody know if this has helped with iPhone Bluetooth audio not always connecting? The phone always connects but sometimes audio doesn’t. That’s what got me searching the forum until I came across this thread.

    You can get a TIS subscription but it is $65 for 2 day access with the professional diagnostics level of access (which is required for downloading the updates files).
