Hello all, This is my first post on TW!

I recently was in the market for a tri-fold bed cover and had a tough time deciding which one to go with. I want to make that easier for the next person to make a decision!

The Undercover Ultra flex completely covers the factory bed rail system, making it useless. They used to have brackets that fed into the rails but now it is one large bracket that covers up it all, but here is a fix to get those rails back...sort of...

I bought the Core-Trax tie down system and bolted it directly onto the bed cover rails...see below

Also instead of drilling out the bed drains bigger to accommodate the drain pipes, I purchased an adapted that reduced it down to 1/4...fits like a dream, see below

The LED light the cover comes with is actually rather nice, the picture below shows how it lights up the whole truck bed!

Lastly, everyone is talking about how the undercover leaks...which it most certainly does...but with this simple and cheap fix, the cover will leak no more (The cover leaks because the weather stripping on the rails cannot get compressed far enough). I went to Lowes and got foam window seal (Two 10' rolls cost 8 dollars total) see photo. Go ahead and remove both rails, and wipe the inside of the bedcover and rails clean before applying the weather stripping. Apply two strips, one on top of the other, and then put the rail back on. As you tighten down the rails, you will see the foam strip get compressed and make a good seal

Overall very happy with how it looks and functions!

Nice, I have this cover and did the same with the drains, but didn't use 90 degree fittings. Also, I haven't seemed to have issues with mine leaking from the sides, it seems to leak for the end of the cover near the tailgate corners.

I wonder if I just did not get the gaskets seated properly, either way the weather stripping helped out a ton! Now the issues I am seeing is it is leaking up by the cab in the corners, do you have this issue? I installed the two foam pads on each end of the bulk head, so it is not leaking there, it appears it is leaking underneath somewhere, thoughts?

Haven't seemed to have any issues up front, just in the back. Trying to figure out something for the rear area now. IMG_5184[1].jpg

Have you looked into doing a tailgate seal? It is raining here right now, I will take a look at my bed cover and see what it looks like!

Update, added some weather stripping where the rails meet the cab, no leaks now! Okichewy1, do you have photos of where its leaking around the tailgate?

@scottyp101, I'm considering the same cover. Thanks for the tips. Question for you... Exactly how much vertical clearance is there between the underside of the cover and floor of the bed mat? My guess is roughly 16" to 17" but I was hoping I could get an exact measurement. Thanks

I just purchased the Ultra as well and I’m waiting for it to be delivered. My one concern is the cold climate. Does the rubber seals need time to soften up to cover most the surface areas? Also the foam window seal you used @scottyp101 runs along the inside of the rails. Do you think those seals will last in harsh climates against snow, salt, freezing rain etc. I guess only time will tell.

Just curious how you made out with the install and if you have any additional tips. I purchased the Armor flex model and will be putting it on this weekend. I think I'll apply the foam window seal as well.

@decaustin the instal went easy as to be expected. It’s really straight forward and simple to do. I didn’t bother with the weather seal because I found the rubber seals for the bed rails are huge. When you attach the rails you will see what I mean. The only real thing I did was leave the top and rails in my house for a day so that the rubber would be more pliable. It was -15 out when I put on.
