The new season started on Sunday night with a 2 hour premiere and it was pretty good. It is great to see some vets of the competition return like Dallas, Jared, Brad, Taylor, and Marty. The new competitors are pretty accomplished and seem worthy, with the exception of the guy from NC. He is way out of his element and is just dragging the Lower 48 team behind. I would not be surprised to see him either quit, or cause the team to miss extraction.

I liked the Military team guys as they have really shown some good stuff from last season and will be very well prepared for this season. Although their new team mate is kind of a distraction, trying to prove his worth unnecessarily. That stupid stunt of crashing a bear den for thrills cost them time and first place on that last expedition.

Anyway, looking forward to this show every Sunday evening. This is one of those shows that has near death experience almost every episode, so it's always an interesting and entertaining watch.

It's interesting for sure, the lower 48 is for sure going to be eliminated if they don't start working together. This is Dallas's third go at it, not sure on the others though. Rudy was a great addition to the military team last season, I bet they are missing him right now.

I was pretty surprised that Rudy didn't join them for this season. Maybe it had to do with producers wanting return competitors with new competitors? Who knows for sure. He made a dumb decision last season and it cost him.

Dallas is just a beast in terms of events like this. I like seeing the personal competition between him and Brad and Jared.

Marty and Tyler are always good to see. Marty particularly as he has done some of the dumbest things ever in this competition! Like last season when they were on the boat and managed to catch a halibut. The guy pulls out his pistol in a panic and shoots the fish, as well as the boat!

"Whoa, we're sinking" Yeah Dallas is king, and he just came off his win in the Iditarod.

This past Sunday's episode was pretty good. The Alaskan team coming out with the win on this stretch. It was cool to see everyone take different paths to the LZ. The back country skiing by Marty, Tyler and Vern looked fun as hell. I would love to so something like that one day. Heck, being on a dog sled is another I would like to check off the bucket list in my time. It was really cool to see Dallas take charge of the sleds and even react quick enough to stop the Military guys sled from running away. Even though it cost them the lead, it was cool to see the type of man Dallas is. The Military guys pretty much said the same thing as well.

It was interesting to see the Lower 48 folks finally come together. Kasha had finally had enough of Sweeney's hard approach to survival. Once they all got on the same page, they seemed to work and flow a lot better.

That puncture to the raft is what caused them the win I think.
