    Uhaul uses 2 inch balls.
I would recommend buying a three ball hitch, its nice to know it doesn't matter what size ball, as you will have it.

Do I need to worry about the drop, should I just pick up the ball and mount at the uhaul store?

3rd gen off-road suspension you’ll want at least a 2 inch drop hitch so the trailer rides level. As others have said, 2 inch receiver with a 2 inch ball and a 5/8 pin . There’s all kinds of flavors out there. You can replace the ball sizes as you go or get something fancy with the rotating ball sizes and adjustable height ride. I didn’t like my straight tri ball for my setup which is a 10x6, too much front lift for the trailer. I just have a basic 2 inch drop hitch one piece and it has been great. (Made by Reese)

I’d get a 2” ball with a receiver rated at 5k lbs or more.
I bought my whole setup at Wal-Mart. About $30, but that was 10 years ago?
I also went with a 2” drop. Because I would rather have tongue set close to level or lower than the rear of the trailer.

Here is what the u-haul site says,
“ if your hitch ball is 1-7/8″ or 2″ and features a 5,000 pound weight capacity you can haul any cargo trailer U-Haul has to offer”
