I installed a 1" rear block and the u-bolts that came with them are little long. Debating on how easy it would be to cut them down, never done it before? Any easy/simple method to get the cleanest cut? Or if its too much i'll just leave them and eventually forget about it hopefully.

Here are a couple pictures. It's about 1.5" of thread showing. Torqued the u-bolts down to about 74 ft lbs of torque.

Why would he buy a flip kit, they are brand new bolts. Grid the excess off and smooth off the edges. The flips are really only for those who plan to drag their shit all over rocks, other than that they only give about 3/4"-1" of clearance. Not really worth the coin IMO if you're not a rock crawler.

I see so many people go this route and then they have to worry about their bumps, which means even more $$$ and less uptravel.

    Just saying

Angle grinder. Don't worry about smoothing the edges. Ubolts shouldn't be reused.

 Now I have a reason to leave them and not cut them down.

Time to get an angle grinder, although I think I have one already. :D
