EDIT: I’ve decided to just add the OEM glass break sensor to my rs3200 system. It looks like a simple plug and play installation.
Part number 08586-04820 is basically plug and play for the 03-04 models.
I paid about $110 for it through @gunny1005 at Camelback in Dec 2017.

(couldn't use the OEM supplied stickers since they go on the inside and my windows are tinted.)

Did you somehow have the 3200 system installed without a glass break sensor? Was it installed just for the remote lock/unlock feature?

The sensitivity of the original glass break sensor can be adjusted.

Yes the 2003-2004 comes from the factory with the RS3200 but only for the keyless entry functions, I.e it is a stripped down unit. You had to add the GBS separately.

Factory didn't install the RS3200 afaik, the dealer did. That is why some systems were lacking the GBS, and the majority of them have questionable install methods.

Even if you do know what pins you put out, it will be a question of what does the original unit report? Just a quick blip of voltage? Or some sort of resistance? Or is it pulse modulation? Might be easiest to just grab a unit from a junkyard. Just my 2cents, good luck.

The 2003-2004 models did come standard with keyless using a stripped down RS3200 module, I believe pre-2003 they were dealer or port installed. That being said, Gunny can order me the "TVIP Upgrade" kit (08586-04820) which apparently is not discontinued after all, plugs right up to the half-naked RS3200 that I have now to make it a full blown alarm system. I'm going to order and will report back when I begin install.

Got my kit today. It pretty much just has stickers (which I won’t be able to put on due to my tint), a glass break sensor, and some foam sticky and zip ties

Well that is pretty awesome. I used to have the dealer install directions somewhere if you don't. I wish I would of installed mine myself, the dealer in ABQ that did mine for the previous owner used alot of scotch locks.

I wish I had the wiring diagrams for mine but I opt to get an alarm with remote start.

Yeah it should be possible to add aftermarket sensors if you know which are the trigger wires on the rs3200. I've seen this done on factory acura tl cars. They added dual shock sensors and a bunch of other sensors to create a full secured system.

Here it is, installed. However, can't seem to trip it by tapping on glass, shaking keys, anything. Any ideas how to adjust sensitivity?

Never mind. Adjustment is on the backside of the brain. It looked like it was set on 1. I put it on 7. Testing now.

Had to max it out all the way to 11 before the key tap test would work.

Works well enough on 10. I'll leave it there and see if it falses a lot or not.

How much did it cost for the upgrade unit?

    $104 and change from Gunny.
If you plan on doing this, you'll have to unplug a one-pin wire to fully activate the alarm. It's usually under the steering wheel so you'll have to remove the trim under the steering wheel to get to it. You don't even need to have the GBS to do the mod. A lot of people call it the "free alarm mod".

Yeah, the free alarm mod was my first mod.

I'm wanting to get the GBS.

Well thanks for the thread. Hopefully it'll keep the crackheads from your new radar detector. :)

We will see. Truck lives in the garage most of the time. but I'll be less paranoid about parking it outside now.. Only reason it was out front is my gf and I were working on a table project for several weeks

I was trying to find the 4p harnes ( the one that plugs into the sensor).

Where was yours located? Can't seem to find mine.

You will be able to "see" it be removing the lower plastic trim, the one with the two power outlets. For me, it was directly behind the black bracket behind the ash tray.

In order to get enough access to the plug to remove the white tape wrapped around it, I had to remove the whole center trim piece to get to it. Even so, I could barely fit my hands in enough to unwrap the tape to pull the plug out. I was very close to just slicing the tape with an exacto knife, but eventually it played nice.
