After having Weathertech and Husky Liners products in previous vehicles I went looking for their Tacoma models when I bought my new truck. Mine came with the OEM weatherproof mats but with 2 kids I wanted full coverage.

Somehow I stumbled on reviews for these Tuxmat liners and figured I’d give them a shot. Didn’t find any Tacoma specific reviews so I thought I’d drop a quick review and some pics.

    Pros
    Canadian company
    Great full coverage fit
    Really luxurious look
    Mostly easy install

    Cons
    Made in China
    Don’t use the factory anchors
Clip system to hold in place is more tedious than the drop and walk away rubber liners
Too soon to know if they’re as weather proof as those other guys’

Are the (2) clips you are showing in the front driver side (pic 1 - positioned front and back) taped or velcro to the plastic door sill panel? I can see the clips, but cannot tell how the clips are secured.

Also, any update generally? Would you buy again? Prefer over say weather tech?

The clips on the sill panel attach to a velcro pad you have to stick on. All the other clips are tucked under the plastic trim etc.

So far so good. Really full coverage so nothing seems to be getting to the actual carpet. The grooves are deep enough that even when there's a little pool of water, my pants don't dip into it.

They're a dusty/dirty mess right now so any appearance benefits I felt they originally had over weathertechs are cancelled out - but i'll see how they wash off in the spring

Current state of the drivers mat. Well contained mess. If they wash off nice in the spring I’d say they’re my favourite mats I’ve had.

I just ordered these for my 21 TRD DCSB. Had them in my ‘17 Golf R… they were amazing. Had a door leak, they held 4” of water at one point.

I just vaccumed them, and then cleaned with Mother VLR… they came back to almost like new!

    how did your cleaning go?

Totally forgot to come back to this.

Cleaning went great. 3 of the 4 just took a wet paper towel and wiped them in place cause those seats were mostly empty all winter. Drivers one was a mess as you can see, so I took it out to hose down. Popped right out, quick scrub and soak and good as new too.

Any further update on how they’re holding up? I like the extra coverage they offer over weather tech/husky.

I emailed the company and asked if their mats would stand up to heavy use like mud and such, they said not recommended.

I know you're in Canada but...made in China.

If you can't get made in Canada then made in USA would be the next logical choice, for me anyhow.

What is the material? It looks like faux leather.

I went with made is USA weather tech HP, it’s more of a rubber compound compared to the traditional weather techs.
