Turn signal side mirror upgrade

Hi
I have been trying to source information -
Is it possible to replace the side mirrors on my 2007 Tacoma with turn signal side mirrors?
I need some form of turn indicator to put at the side of my truck. Presently other drivers on can only tell I am turning if they are exactly behind me or directly in front of me. the turn signal at the front in the headlamp is turned to the inside near the front grill of the truck. Which I think is a factory design fault.

You'll need an upgraded door harness on each side. Then some pin moving around if you want it OEM.
If not, then one wire from junction box to each side.
And, of course, the new door mirrors with the LED lamps in them.

 

Can you please share with me a link where I can get what’s necessary? Also if you have a video link to share the installation would be a bonus

@caribe makaira please be more specific with the specs of the door harness I would need to upgrade to. Where can I source it? Thanks

 

2015 door harness. Remove current one (each side) and replace. Connector to Driver's door needs to be de-pinned and re-arranged to match new to old door switch.
I suggest doing the one wire from BECU (Body ECU/fuse/junction box) to each door. Tap the connector that houses the rear turn signals.

The instructions you share does it also work for the indicator/turn signal that’s in/on the glass itself? It’s the turn signal in the glass itself that I want to upgrade to.
Turn signal on the back of the mirror is not the most visible.

@caribe makaira i have spoken to my father and I am simply going to do your one wire BECU suggestion. Final info I need is - can the 2015 Tacoma side mirror fit my 2007 Tacoma?

Google Positaps. They could be a better solution to tap the signal wires at B1. Also, probe the screws on the door when you remove the door panel for a proper ground. No need to run ground wire to cab from door.
Also, what mirror has the turn signal on it?
If installing the 2015 one and adding the mirror surface turns you'll get 2 sources of indications for the rubber-neck folks.

 

I'm also interested in this. Wish there was a simpler step by step guide for it. I can solder and cut cables, but am unsure about following diagrams with certainty..
