Turn Signal \ Marker light and Theater \ Courtesy Mud lights Controller

I've designed and built a controller for using a single light as a turn signal and marker light.
Also incorporated a time delayed and dimming rate for theater, mud, exit lights or interior lights.

So this is mounted to your side mirrors? Do you have pics of it mounted?

 

The actual turn signal light is a stick on light but there is many ways to do it. Turn signal lights are not included. But Theater LED's are but you have to install them inside mirrors. give me 1 min I'll take a picture. This is the lights I used.

Do you include instructions?
The box essentially takes a turn signal light (a light without a flash function built in) and turns it into a running light and a turn signal right?

 

Yes, that's one function of the combined controller. All instructions are included.

 

I have been trying to figure something out like this for a set of LED trailer lights I got from Northern Tool I'm using as my front turn signals. Right now one row of leds act as the running lights while the second row blink with the turn signal (all one light from Northern). I have been trying to figure out how I can wire up the two rows of lights together (the easy part) then get them to blink when the turn signal is engaged. This would obviously help make them more visible during the day time.

Think I could wire my lights up with your mirror turn signals to accomplish this or would the load be too much for your box?

 

Depends on how many lights. You could always use the controller to control 2 external relays. The boxes can handle up to 10A max per side.

 

Will work for any LED flush mount or cube light as turn signal and marker.

 

So I could make my corner marker lights my turn signals with this correct?

 

Correct it would be both.

Jon, I like the idea of the mud lights, do those light up when you unlock the doors?

 

Are you talking about when you use the remote to unlock doors?

 

Correct

 

It's not incorporated into the box. It can be made to. It involves a extra small relay and 2 diodes. That would be mounted outside the box. It would pick up a signal from the keyless entry chirper.

 

Gotcha, that sounds like it's above and beyond my skill set.
