Straight to the point. I am wanting to get some forced induction for my 2011 but am undecisive on which route to take. I will be towing a 16' lowboy and a 12' enclosed trailer, both with loads up to 6,000lbs. I was leaning towards a supercharget but I am probably wrong..........and yes, i tried the search function first, no luck with towing advice. Thanks in advance.

You would be better off getting a supercharger if you want to go with TRD but honestly forced induction with air bags and different leaf springs would help you out a lot

+1 on the supercharger, unless your plan was to get a turbo that spooled up waaaaay to soon to do any good at mid- or high-rev range. and if you don't have the leaf spring TSB, do that. *and* the air bags.

SC w/urd pulley, afe cai, URD LT's, TRD cat back. 375hp. Custom logos, tonneau cover, westin bar with piaa lights, aero force gauges, custom front air dam, Westin step bars.
Disregard Fords ecoboost effort. For the Toy and towing, the TRD SC will be the best bet.

When it comes to towing anything, Supercharger is the only way to go. Power on tap right when you need it, 0 lag.

Yeah, I was thinking supercharger but I am not too informed on "turbos" so I decided to seek knowledge since it is for towing. Plus, I am a fan of bolt-on applications, I don't like to cut/chop. Thanks guys

Toyota needs a diesel option and updated engine options

Yeah, Toyota seems to be lacking in the engine department. They should just implement the v8 in the Tacomas already. The Chevy colorado/canyon has an optional v8 and I hear Nissan is leaning towards deisel in the next gen trucks. Oh well

They will most likely be forced to make the tundra a diesel, make the Tacoma better with more engines and get off their butts and innovate
