That's BS imo. They just don't wanna take the the time to fixture it in a regular mill. Should be doable with a large cutter in a couple passes without having to touch that flange

    Kinda stock
A shop with a big ol belt sander can do it too. It doesn't need to be decked head flat.

If you have some time and a die grinder with a carbide Burr you should take down all that extra metal hanging out just past the v band because it's basically just a flow inhibitor.

I did have intentions to stuff a dremel in there to clean that up, thank you both for watching out.
    :hattip:

I need to pick up a new bit for cleaning up the charge pipes holes through the core support too.

Some shiny stuff came in the mail today
    IMG_20230502_191200.jpg

I talked to a couple different tacoma owners today. One was an fellow Marine who served in Vietnam, original owner of an immaculate 95 five lug extra cab and the other was a guy a little younger than me who backed in his double cab next to mine. As he walked away and reached for his keys to lock the doors I clicked my lock button and repeated the process a couple of times just watching his face it was hilarious and I did it again as he went to leave. Eventually I walked out and talked to him to ease the confusion

Who's tubing kit did you buy? I don't have a lot of piping to do really but as usual its all awful tight.

Idk if thats the same cheap stuff. I got a bunch of Amazon IC piping and it was totally fine. I bunged it, threaded it and welded it w no issues.

The cheap kits don't have tight bends. I actually have a piece of stainless 3" in my IC piping. I have to order bends from ace race(out of stock) to fix.

I need one really tight bend only. I'll just pie cut it I guess. The other one goes into a tight area but isnt a tight bend. I'm gonna have some short charge piping dammit if it's the las thing I do!

You've got a lot of feedback on this but it should take you 5 mins with 30 bucks and a compressor

I know. I have been waiting on those bends for a while. Haven't checked this week but will prob do the same thing. I just don't like pies. Hard to do by yourself. Have you seen these? Fucking best thing ever. Can't justify the price tag though.

@Speedytech7 The pipes I have in the picture are the BlackHorse Racing 3" pipes shown below in the Amazon link, I believe that is what you were asking about.

As for the charge pipes I just have what came with the CX kit plus a few extra Silicone couplers, bends, and reducers.

I felt the same, I think it was just something that would require his attention longer than setting up the machine and forgetting about it but id rather him be honest about not wanting to do it than coming back to poor quality

Had a little bit of modding accomplished this weekend.

    Worked out quite well.

Vibrant aluminum. The blue bars are for the Bimmer. Didn't get to that this weekend.

Used to be silicone coupled together.

Thank goodness I had purchased this donut from www.Aeroflowperformance.com, out of Australia, a while ago. Needed that tight radius, coming out of the intercooler.

It used to be 3", pre-Maf. Now, 2.5"." End quote.

I picked up the driver's side manifold from the machine shop today, it looks much better and they also turned a male vband flange into a flat vband flange for me. I was more than happy to pay the bill.
The driver side flange is actually pretty square but the T4 flange will need some love
