I've got a stock 2016 TRD Sport 4x4 MT. I love it, except it feels like a 4 cylinder when I try to get on it. Would getting a tune give me anything a Pedal Commander wouldn't, seeing as how it's a manual? I do plan on a 3/2 lift and 32 -33" tires in the future. Thanks for any input.

Well, for one, a tune (properly made) won't throw you into limp mode. Plus, as a MT owner, you have the option to have full otto cycle. I'm jelly about that.

I 100% support a tune over PC or SS.

Go tune , kdmax is awesome Which is what I have . All a pedal commander does is give you a better petal response/mpg . The tune actually gives you better throttle response, improved mpg , more hp/tq, fixes auto transmission gear hunting , Future tuning options with updates etc . Don’t waste 200+ on a commander buy a ov tune software/cable package the.

    Well said!
A tune is much better than a pedal commander or any of those throttle enhancers.

KDMax-Pro is a great tune for the MT and AT trucks.

I wouldn't do either one mainly because I'm too risk adverse and would be too worried that what happened to my 2018 Grand Cherokee would happen to my Tacoma, and I'd be out of pocket for an engine tear down and new cylinder head. That said, if I had to choose one I would choose the tune, simply because it treats the actual problem and not just the symptom, which is all a pedal commander would do.
