Does anyone else like the look of the stamped "TUNDRA" on the tail gate of the new tundras? I was thinking about how one could do that on a second gen, or something like it anyway. Thoughts?

I like the creasing the Tundras have on the tailgate. Wait, my Tacoma has a crease too. Not impressed Toyota... :censored:

I thought it looked really sharp...

yeah so what if I go look at the other tacomas on the lot months after buying mine...And the tundras right next to them :D

This is what we are talking about, cool stamping, Fugly color!!!

There also was a guy that put his toyota emblem on the tailgate handle and I think he did it before this came out...

I was trying to think of a way to do this that doesnt involve removing, ruining, and remaking my tailgate....

Impossible to achieve without distorting the whole sheet. You'd need a lot of custom-made dies and tooling.

I can make the dies but I dont think I am ballsy enough to try it out.... I thougt about cuting the letter and making sheet metal recessed pieces to weld behind to get the same look. That or lots of hammering into wooden forms and body work..... maybe I just need more stickers....

Cut the wording out, weld in a piece of sheet metal behind it, then weld (sanding smooth after) or fill in the sides with sealant. Repaint and you are set.
