    Hi all,

I'm trying to put on my spiffy new EBC USR brake rotors on, but I can't for the life of me get this damn rotor off. I know there are the little screw holes in the rotor that you can screw into to push the rotor off. Problem is I already took everything apart so I can't get to the store to get a screw for that hole.

Does anyone know if there is a screw of the same size on the truck that I can borrow to get this damn thing off? I heard the thread size is M8?

    Thanks!

I just took a rubber mallet to the back side of the rotor and it came off. Might take some persuasion but it works great if you don't have a bolt handy.

I've been beating on that bastard for a while now. I've hit it hard enough to dent the mounting face of the brake rotor haha. Looks like my progress is even further derailed as Amazon delivered the wrong fucking brake pads AGAIN! Ughh....

Its a common bolt type on toyotas (M8-1.25). But you need one that is long enough to be able to remove the rotor (or drum). On my first gen, the bolts that secure the stock skid plates are the right size, but may not be long enough to remove the rotor.

On my first gen I think one of the skid plate bolts is the same

    Reserected from the dead.
Put a block of wood between the frame and rotor. Start truck and turn wheel to put pressure on the rotor. Give the rotor a couple good whacks and it should pop off.

This is what I ended up doing. I bought a M8-1.25 (bought at home depot for .45 cents) Put it through the little hole the rotor and turned. It came off with literally no effort. Will use this technique from now on. Thanks.

Also for anybody in the future that finds this thread, the bolt length doesn't matter. Just has to be at least half an inch.
