My brother has the DBX and i think it would get annoying. Does anybody have videos of their flowmaster 60?

On a V6, stay the hell away from mufflers made for V8s unless you want to sound like crap.

On my last truck I went with a Flowmaster 70 and it was perfect. Allows more flow, but barely sounds louder than stock.

Technically you can put any exhaust on any engine, but you're not gonna see Flowmaster putting ANY of their mufflers on a V6 truck and marketing it that way.

All I can say is I remember the old days of high school when kids desperate to mod their trucks were putting Flowmaster 40s on V6 Silverados and they ended up sounding like bumblebees buzzing around town.

    Loud as hell URD exhaust!
I had a 50 with delta flow on my 1st gen and it sounded bad. If you must insist on Flow Master then go with the 60 to help keep down the ricer_boi sound.

My suggestion would be a Magnaflow.

Why the heck do you want to put an aftermarket muffler on? I'd never consider it on a Tacoma. They're all gonna sound like dog shit. Especially Blowmaster. I have one on my Camaro, it's even a V8 and I can't wait to get rid of it.

Skip out on the muffler and just add a nice exhaust tip to the stock setup if you are jones'n to spend some money.

I put a Flowmaster 40 on a 3.4 and sounded great. Best sounding muffler I found for that truck, got compliments on it all the time. Each muffler and exhaust system will sound different, just cause it's not a v8 doesn't mean it will sound bad.

Also keep in mind "sound great" is different for everybody.

For example, every ricer with a fart can thinks his Civic hatchback sounds good.

I had a friend put a 70 series on his Tacoma back in 08. Just sounded a little deeper, not bad at all.
Keeping mine stock but if I was to do it, I'd put a 70 series on.

a standard style v6 like ours..... will pretty much always sounds like junk with an exhaust, and you arent gonna gain any performance from it.... save your money, put it in something else.

You asked and you got your answer. The V6 firing order makes for an odd and annoying sound "too most" and doesn't really play well with the Flowmaster muffler of any series. Instead of sounding nice it sound more like you have a hole in your exhaust. Search youtube for some sound clips and install the one that sounds good to you. Personally I like Magnaflow.

If you just have to get a muffler, and it has to be a Flowmaster, get a 70 series.

It'll be a little louder than stock, pretty raspy at high rpm, but won't annoy you on the highway and won't make you look like a tool.

    I even found you a clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUETwOmWKKI
