2021 Double Cab Short Bed. I have the OEM Hard Tri-Fold and I'm looking to sell and pick up a soft roll-up cover in the price range of these two. Does anyone have experience with either or both?

I like that the soft roll-ups are super easy to open and gives full access to the bed. My OEM hard tri-fold is very heavy to flip over and blocks 1/3 of the bed when fully open. Will I be sacrificing quality of weatherproofing moving to a soft roll-up?

    TIA!

Love me truxsport would have been fine with the gator as well seem very similar. Have co-workers with the gator who love them. For me it was price and availability. I couldn't find the gator in 6 ft.

I would also look at access. Gator and truxedo are ok but the access vanish is super low profile and outstanding quality. Many vendors will give you significant discounts if you ask as well.

You will have to replace your bed rails when you remove the OEM cover.

Yeah that’s true and those caps I think run around $125.

What do you mean? The two rails on the sides that have the sliding cargo tie-down points? Do you know the part#s for what I would need to replace with?

EDIT: Never mind, I see what you mean. The black plastic top trim pieces of the bedside, not the "mounting rail". Part# 66248-04050 & 66249-04050. Is the only reason I would need a new one because the one I have from factory has the holes cut out for the Tonneau latching hardware? If that's the case hopefully the buyer will give me theirs since I am supplying mine.

Yeah. I probably should have said caps, but yes you will need to replace them.
