Hi, I'm new to the forums and I wanted to ask general opinions of this cover before I pull the trigger on it. It runs about $300 on autoanything.

My previous truck had a tonneau that was a hard cover across the back. It was one piece. I didn't like it and I took it off because I need full access to the bed. I'd like one that completely moves out of the way and doesn't have to be taken off. Opinions/suggestions welcome. Trying to stay under $500, thanks.

Hi. I went with the Truxedo LoPro primarily because I was going for more of a flush mount look. I can't speak to the Truxport but the LoPro was easy to install and keeps my bed pretty dry. I do get some water in the rear around the tailgate but not much. You might want to try speaking with an advisor on autoanything or realtruck and asking for a discount - they seem to be pretty quick to give one if you ask - not sure if it will be enough to get the LoPro under the price point you are looking at. It also can't hurt to check your local craigslist or the for sale section here. Tonneau covers pop up for sale from time to time.

Good luck and enjoy the truck!

Here's a link to how the LoPro looks installed

It looks great! I'll have to check out the differences between the Truxedo and the Lo Pro. Also, thanks for the tip about autoanything, I didn't know they'd give a discount like that. I guess the only thing about the hard cover is that it was waterproof, and never leaked, and I (likely) won't get that with a roll up.

I have it since May 2018 and like it a lot for under $300
Easy to install, does not leak, does not flap.
I did seal front corners and tailgate and I use a bed mat.

To be clear - the water that gets in is pretty minimal - not cup fulls but some water. I have a bed mat and use two Husky totes to keep stuff dry. The LoPro installation kit comes with some end caps for the head rail that goes across the front of the bed - they are rubber plugs that fill the gap between the head rail and the sides of the bed - they go a long way towards reducing water getting in up front. Make sure the truxport comes with the same or plan on getting some weatherstripping to fill those gaps yourself.

Thanks for the clarification. I watched a couple of videos and it looks like the LoPro is more of the product I'm looking for. Also, minimal water is fine, I just didn't want to have it coming in in larger amounts since I carry so many different things in my truck and I try to keep the bed clean (luggage, camping gear, kayaks, and I take my trash).

Thanks! I appreciate your input. Did you choose Truxport over LoPro due to cost? That was my inital reason for considering this one but now I'm starting to think I might choose the LoPro.

I put the truxport on my tacoma a few months ago. I have no complaints at all, seals up nice, easy to install, and doesnt flap

So I ended up chatting online with Autoanything for a bit. They told me there isn't much difference at all in the covers, unless height is a concern. I don't care about height, though I will admit the LoPro looks a little nicer. But for the price and functionality, I'd be good with the cheaper option. Thanks again, flattie--asked for a discount and they gave me one, so I got this cover for under $300!

FYI, during the installation you will be guided to remove front bar to add end caps. Not sure about yours , but my bar sits higher and creates a gap under front corners of the cover. Add some material to seal it (tape, foam, etc).
The gate by design has a gap on the top rear corners when closed. You may want to seal the gate. Traxedo sells the seal.
Mine is Settle weather tested and I'm pretty happy with it. Keeps mine soccer gear and other cargo away from the rain.
