So I have actually posted previously in a different thread but it was too general and I had not done my research. After searching for a while I have narrowed down my selection of tonneau covers to the above two. Now I am curious on the opinions of if the Lo Pro QT is worth the extra 150 bucks in regards to quality. The look of both look great so that really means nothing to me but instead I am curious of if the functionality/ease of use of the one is much better than the other to make it worth upgrading to that. The lifetime warranty also seems nice but from most posts I have read it seems warranties are for marketing and theres always something you did wrong to make sure they do not fulfill the claim.

So whats your opinions for the most recent versions of these covers (256001 and 556001).

    Thanks ahead of time

I recently purchased the TRUXPORT from Realtruck.
Installation was a breeze and I'm happy with it for $289.00 shipping included.
From a comparison standpoint I can't give you one, only my thought on the TRUXPORT.
Good cover, easy installation, seems like it will last a while and lastly you can still use a high percentage of the side rails.

Great, i just picked this up and was looking through the installation before it was delivered and I was afraid the clamps would get in the way with the side rails...doesn't seem to be an issue here though. Thanks! You got the 256001 model correct?

I am trying to decide on the lo pro vs the truxport today. Seems to be a $85 difference.

I've got the TruxSport. Mine dribbles a little into the bed from the top of the tailgate gaps when it gets blasted by my local car wash with hurricane force blowers. From the head-rail and down the sides: no water. Definitely none with normal rain (we've had a couple of weeks of that since I installed it). The sticky foam inserts at the head end to close the gaps tighter would be super-easy to beef up if needed (others have done so to deal with a variety of covers here).

Haven't done any freeway speed in the rain with it yet.

I have the Truxport and I picked it over the LoPro because it sits on top of the bed, meaning you get a couple extra inches of (the already incredibly limited) bed space.
If you don't ever completely fill your bed up it mostly comes down to aesthetics, do you want a tonneau that sits on top of the bed or one that is flush with the bed rails.

I have the Truxport and it's pretty great. Very little leakage at the car wash since I spend a little extra time with alignment. Tiny gaps at the corners, thinking about squirting a little silicone in there. Overall, I would buy it again and have recommended it to others.

I paid $290 on Amazon over the summer. It's currently about $30 cheaper now.
