2010 4cyl 5speed here. Sometimes I get in, push in the clutch, and turn the key, and depending on the truck's mood, it'll either start up just fine or not even try to turn over. I hear the relay clicking from putting the clutch in, and I get the same results if I use the clutch start disable button. Pretty tired of hoping I don't have to bump start the truck every time I get in. Any ideas?

Check battery terminals. Make sure they are really tight. If they are then check the rest of your wiring running to the starter. Loose bolts or nuts will cause the starter solenoid to engage but not turn the armature needed to start turning the flywheel over.

Starter solenoid is dying, wire (or connectors)to the solenoid is loose or damaged, problem with the starter relay. That’s where I would start. If the solenoid isn’t functioning properly and pushing the starter gear fully forward, it won’t switch power to the starter motor. Could even be a loose starter where the starter gear isn’t meshing with the flywheel properly because of the misalignment and not allowing the starter gear to move fully forward.

Test your starter using the methods shown in this video (skip to around the 5 min mark) it's on a Jeep but the concept is the same, the big wire should have power all the time and the small wire should have power with the key in the crank position and the clutch depressed.
