    hello all.
i imagine this should be pretty simple to figure out but i can't seem to.
yesterday i punched through the rubber boot that goes in the firewall to get some wiring through and realized after i was all finished up that the truck wouldnt start. it starts fine using the c/s/c but not without.
after further inspection it seems i have may have broken/disconnected one set of wires and im curious if that is indeed the culprit or if i need to look at something else.

i attached a photos of the wires that are now disconnected, so im curious 1.) is the disconnected wire my issue? 2.) where do i plug it back in?

    thanks

See if you can plug it in right behind that metal plate with the white button on it. That is your clutch ignition switch i believe (this gets depressed when you push in the clutch, allowing the truck to start)

The same shit everyone else has.
Looks like the plunger switch for the clutch switch is disconnected. It plugs into the 2 pin connector plunger on the clutch pedal.

Pro tip - If you jumper the male end of the connector, the truck will start without pushing the start cancel button or pushing the clutch in. This bypasses the safety switch. Did this to mine so I didn’t have to push the clutch in to start it.

Disclaimer - do this at your own risk

I recently had a problem with a new to me 2006 regular cab and I thought my switch was faulty, too. It turns out my aftermarket floor mats that were included in the purchase were sliding forward and blocking the clutch pedal from going all the way to the floor. Pulling them back fixes the issue -- wish I would have known before spending ~$35 on the switch and being stuck on the side of the road a few times until I figured out the neutral safety switch cancel button would allow it to start.
